My name is Nelly, and I am a second-year Master’s student in Economic Law. Originally from Czechia, but currently studying in the beautiful capital city of France – Paris. I am particularly interested in alternative dispute resolution, as well as the law of the sea and environmental law. Moreover, my passion extends to exploring the intersection of law, sustainability, and politics. In my leisure time, I enjoy practising martial arts, hiking, and participating in local organisations that fight against food waste and promote ocean literacy. After the summer school, I also added sailing to the top of my list of hobbies! Besides that, I am a big chocoholic and have a real sweet tooth for all kinds of desserts.
“In my opinion, the Farmont Summer School greatly enriches one’s understanding of global geopolitical perspectives and the dynamics surrounding EU borders in practice. Furthermore, the Summer School embodies for me the strong values of European identity and the importance of cultural exchange among youth in Europe these days. Throughout the programme, I especially appreciated the diversity of discussion topics of our workshops, each participant’s curiosity and engagement during the whole programme, and the unique, inspiring setting by the sea. Simply put, it is an unforgettable experience (without a single dull moment) that offers the rare opportunity nowadays to disconnect from the online world and reflect on ourselves in an extraordinary environment.”
