Hi there! Having spent my childhood days in Essen, Germany, my Wanderlust led me to study and live abroad ever since. After my undergraduate degree in Economics and Business at Maastricht University (with an exchange semester at the National University of Singapore) and my Msc Economics for Development at the University of Oxford, I am currently working for the United Nations Development Program in New York. In 2020, I will further start my PhD Economcis at the University of Oxford. Combining Economics and Development has always been of great interest to me and projects in Cotê d’Ivoire, Angola, Brazil and New Zealand enabled me to research the conjunction of both in various cultural settings.
Besides those (very serious) academic and professional facts, I am also passionate about lots of other stuff: I like music (was a street musician in Brazil and Australia for a while), playing football, rowing and skiing and just recently discovered the fascination of sailing!
