My name is Franzi and I am 26 years old. I’m currently writing my master’s thesis at the LMU Munich in the field of education. I grew up in Munich and started scouting at a very early age. After trying out a variety of sports such as ballet, ice hockey and athletics, I finally stuck with taekwondo. Sport has always been and still is an important part of my life. I started out at a normal elementary school, but after the fourth grade I switched to a Waldorf school, where I graduated from high school and made friends for life. Not only, but also because of my relationship, I decided to stay in Munich for my studies. When I’m not studying, I like to meet up with my friends, get creative, do sports, go sailing or plan activities with the scouts. After submitting my Master’s thesis, I still don’t know exactly which direction I want to take. I can imagine going abroad again for a longer period of time.
“The Summer School exceeded all my expectations by far. Milena, Angelika and Andreas as a crew are incredibly friendly, funny and competent. I felt comfortable with them right from the start and felt safe on the boat at all times. The Summer School will always have a special place in my heart. I felt so close to the other participants in just a few days. We discussed, laughed, went diving, someone learned to swim, we went swimming at night and went out. We saw turtles, filled our bellies with the best food, slept on deck and marveled at the starry sky. Six months on, we’re still in close contact and I’m determined to see them all again. Somehow the two weeks have shaped and changed me as a person and I will always look back on this experience with gratitude and a smile.”
