Year of journey:

I’m a 20-year-old International Relations student from Romania, interested in how young people can influence real decisions in global affairs. I’ve been part of youth policy work through the EU Youth Dialogue and international networks like the Global Fund for Children’s Youth Council.

I’ve interned at Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, served as an accredited election observer, and won the Robert Schuman Essay Contest run through the European Parliament. I also write about global policy for Modern Diplomacy and love cooking in my free time. What keeps me going is figuring out how institutions can take young voices seriously ,and how policy can be shaped by the people it actually affects.

“The wind, the sea, the people (and the food) were the best part of this intellectually stimulating experience. I will always remember the Marleen, thank you for everything! “
