Day 6 โ€“ Cabin fever ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐ŸŒฆ๏ธ

It started off with a few of them. A piece of dry cereal would suddenly shift in the bowl, a plop would burst from the morning coffee. Soon, it was tens, hundreds and then thousands – droplets of water descended from the sky, sending the Farmont project group wet and hungry into the bowels of the Marleen. Rain had finally reared its cloudy head, but we kept ours hanging high! We had our morning meal inside of the ship for the first time since the beginning of our journey, fuelling us for the rest of the day. We spent our check in and organized our thoughts around the table, enjoying the pitter-patter of the slowly dissipating rain above us. Once the sky cleared up, so did we clear out of the rooms below in time for Maria’s marvelously discussed “Europe: An imagined community” presentation. We topped the day off with a dinner and walk through the city, drinking in the stone-clad city surroundings of the old settlement. Some found souvenirs, some found picture material, some cats found us and our spot – all of us found something rejuvenating for ourselves. (And Marta was there too, I guess…)

A day well spent, and you can spend your time well too by following the final arc on our journey!
