Day 8 – The Boat Cleaners
Five friends on a boat in the Turkish sun,
After ten days of sailing, the trip nearly done.
They grab brushes and buckets, roll up their sleeves,
Laughing together as they clean up the leaves.
Someone turns on the music, their voices start to sing,
As they scrub off the salt, their joy takes wing.
They came here to learn, to sail, and to see,
That unity’s born in work and in glee.
The deck shines again; they smile, side by side,
A small summer crew, carried on by the tide.
They look at their boat, feel pride in their chest,
In the spirit of Europe, they gave it their best.
